Waterbury Career Academy Reviews

Rating: 4 out of 5.

WCA is an excellent school in the Waterbury area and CT. Beautiful facility, great and caring staff and the variety of courses offered is stunning. AP, UCONN and NVCC classes are offered as well as the 4 strands of Health, IT, Manufacturing and Human and typical academics. The teachers do a great job preparing students for college and getting ready for the real world. The school also offers many after school activities and sports. Besides the strict dress code policy and the not so great lunch, WCA is a great opportunity for students to take advantage of!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

To start off, I think that this is one, if not the best High school in Waterbury if a student wants to pursue a college career. Each strand (Manufacturing, I.T, Human Services, and Health Services) provides ample opportunity for students to learn about each sector. Once a student hits their Junior and Senior years, they are also given the opportunity to earn college credits through AP and UCONN college classes. Students can also get certified for jobs like Pharmacy Tech and could work immediately once they graduate. Staff in the building do their job to the best of their ability and treats students with compassion and respect, with the majority of the students showing the same.
