Which Schools Accept Executive Assessment Scores?

More and more universities around the world are accepting the Executive Assessment as a requirement for admission in some of their business degree programs.

In fact, top business schools including Wharton, Kellogg, Chicago Booth, Yale, Duke Fuqua, Berkeley Haas, Columbia Business School, INSEAD, HEC Paris, and many others are among those institutions.

Note that not all Executive MBA programs require an Executive Assessment score for admission and that different institutions have different standards for which entrance tests(GMAT, GRE, and/or EA) are necessary.

However, you shouldn’t assume that just because a program isn’t listed on the GMAC website means that it doesn’t require EA scores for admission. Do your homework!

How Do Executive Assessment Administer Test?

The Executive Assessment test is given in a manner similar to how the GMAT is.

So, on the day of your EA exam, you’ll need to arrive at your test location at least 30 minutes before the start of your test to ensure that you have enough time to check in and secure any personal goods.

(To allow for check-in time, you should connect to the online exam at least 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled testing time. Review the guidelines for online check-in before the test as well.)

In order to take notes during the exam if you’re taking the online version, you can either utilize a physical whiteboard or a virtual one on your computer.

You are not given a real whiteboard for the online exam, so if you want to utilize one, you will need to buy it on your own ahead of time.

You are also permitted to purchase 1 erasable whiteboard no bigger than 12 inches by 20 inches, 1 dry-erase pen, and 1 eraser from places like Staples and Amazon.

If you take the exam at home as opposed to a testing facility, your EA results won’t appear on your computer right away. Instead, your exam results will be delivered to any score recipients you’ve chosen and will be available in your online account 7 days after the test date.

On the other hand, if you take the Executive Assessment at a testing facility, you immediately view your official section scores and overall exam score on your computer screen after the exam is over. Before you leave the testing facility, you are also given a printout of your EA results for that exam.

Additionally, keep in mind that the results you see at the testing facility are the same results that will be submitted to your account and forwarded to the colleges you specify.

Therefore, there are no “unofficial” Executive Assessment results. In other words, your test-center results will remain the same.

How Can I Prepare for the Executive Assessment?

Many test takers attempt to use GMAT resources to prepare for the Executive Assessment, although this strategy is not advised. The Executive Assessment and the GMAT share a lot of the same material, as we’ve already seen, however, the EA uses a smaller subset of Quant question problems than the GMAT does.

You can register for your second attempt as soon as 24 hours after finishing your first attempt, so you don’t have to wait long.

The earliest you may take the exam is 24 hours after registering, so if you wanted to, you could take it again 48 hours after your first attempt.
